Fist, i feel sorry for you.
The funniest thing in all that story, and i read all the post is that the guy keep responding. If i was the scammer i would have started ignoring the complaint from the original poster a hell of a long time ago.... but no he just keep answering back.
That's sad and funny at the same time...
