We are talking about CS and security (proccyber?), no such beast as "common sense" here, everything has to be pedantically perfect.
I even worry about different card companies using different format for my name causing problems. For example, cards often start with "Mr", however you cannot register as "Mr" anything at a Microgaming casino, it has to be plain old first and last name, no middle name or initial field either. Some obscure African names are rejected by the software, these have only two letters in them, and other countries' players have to use an Americanised spelling where their alphabets differ significantly from the western norm.
All this can cause a problem with documents.
