It won't lower it but it can send a message out.
snopes maybe a great place but I see they say it's not true about this gas day.But it's true here in Connecticut.
I am not doubting that it gas boycott is on the news. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18492185/ for a detailed explanation why it won't work and cannot work, but the essential point is that as long as people are driving, they will have buy gas some time, so if they don't buy it today, they will have to buy it tomorrow or some other day. As I said before, if you are serious about gas prices, get a more fuel efficient car, drive less or stop driving altogether (and vote for a president who will make peace in the Middle East).
